Theatre
LA Ovation Awards
The Los Angeles Stage Alliance Ovation Awards are the only
peer-judged theatre awards in Los Angeles. Widely considered as
the "Tonys" of LA theatre, these coveted competitive awards were first
handed out in 1994, and The Colony Theatre has earned 49 nominations
and has won 13 awards, including the highest honor, Best Play in a
Larger Theatre, two years in a row (2002 and 2003).

In its 23-year history, The
Colony has been honored with numerous Drama-Logue Awards - far too

Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle

The
prestigious Los Angeles
Drama Critics' Circle has honored individual Colony members and
productions
with many awards and nominations. The Colony itself has been honored to
receive two major awards. In 1976, in only its second season, The
Colony received a Special Award for Continued Excellence in Production.
Then in 1990, it received the coveted Margaret Harford Award for
distinguished achievement
