Jeff Baron
Jeff was awarded the KulturPreis Europa 2001, the first American and the first playwright to receive this award. Jeff was recently commissioned to write a new play by a major European theatre, which will receive its world premiere in 2010. He directed the world premiere of his play Mother's Day in Sydney. Brothers-in-Law began its life in Philadelphia in 2008. Jeff received a TCG/ITI Grant for Mr. & Mrs. G. He is working on Song for My Grandchildren, which will originate in South America. His other plays are When I Was Five and Edna and Joe Forever. In addition to his work in theatre, Jeff wrote and sold four original screenplays, and has written and directed two short films. For television, he has written for The Tracey Ullman Show, A Year in the Life, Sisters, Almost Grown, and Nickelodeon. His journalism, song lyrics and short fiction have been published around the world. Jeff has degrees from Northwestern and Harvard.
