M. Elizabeth Barrett appeared
on the Colony Stage in The
Man Who Came to Dinner.
A Rhode Island native, and
fabulous cook in her own right, she came to Los Angeles after studying
and performing in New York City.
She has been seen in The
Vagina Monologues at the Secret Rose Theatre in NoHo and also originated
the role of Lillian Hellman in the award-winning, one-act Lillian and
Ethel. Other original characters include the roles of Intuit in A
Hunter’s Obituary at Theatre West and Barbara Cannon in the Fountain
Theatre’s production of Sweet Nothing in My Ear, which went on to
a long and prosperous run at the Victory Gardens Theatre in Chicago.
Other favorite Los Angeles appearances include Medea at Deaf West
Theatre, School for Scandal at the Attic Theatre, and Old Sista’
Oak: A Gospel Musical at the Angeles Arts Center.
She is an alumna of the California
Institute of the Arts M.F.A. Theatre program.
