Nancy
Linehan Charles appeared on the Colony Stage as Albertine in Toys
in the Attic. She finds it interesting to be playing a woman again,
after recently sporting a beard as Gonzalo in the L.A. Women's Shakespeare
Company's Production of The Tempest. She has explored the
nightmarish landscape of morphine addiction, playing Mary Tyrone in Long
Day's Journey Into Night, opposite Orson Bean, at Pacific Resident
Theatre. She won the Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle Award for
her portrayal of Claire Zachanassian in The Visit, and received
an LADCC nomination for the title role in Mrs. Warren's Profession.
She has played both E.M. Ashford and Vivian Bearing in productions of the
Pulitzer-Prize-winning play Wit, at the Geffen Playhouse in L.A.
and Atlanta's Alliance Theatre.
Film work includes Minority Report, Full Frontal, Ed Gein, and Norma Jean and Marilyn. Television credits include Carnivale for HBO, and guest appearances on West Wing, Six Feet Under, The Guardian, The Practice, The Drew Carey Show, ER, and Judging Amy. Nancy is a marathon runner
and the mother of two fine sons, Charlie and Will.
