Patricia Cullen


Patricia Cullen

Patricia Cullen (Casting Director) has been casting for the Colony since the 2003-2004 season. She is also a proud member of The Colony acting company and Artistic Advisory Board. Born in Devon, England, she has appeared extensively in regional theatre both in Great Britain and the U.S. She also enjoys a commercial and voice over career here and in her native England. She received her training at the Central London School of Speech and Drama, and she is a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Los Angeles, and British Actors’ Equity Association.

Favorite acting credits include Mrs. Primrose in The Colony’s Ovation Award-winning musical On The Twentieth Century, Meg Long in Our Country’s Good, and Mrs. Kirby in  You Can’t Take It With You (Drama-Logue Award) all at The Colony, as well as Mrs. Green in The Verdi Girls at Laguna Playhouse, Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest with Susan Clark at the Rubicon and Mrs. Fezziwig in A Christmas Carol at Actors Theatre of Louisville. 

Other credits include Hay Fever, Private Lives, Man and Superman, Rashomon, Noises Off, King Lear, Merchant of Venice, Absurd Person Singular, Charlie’s Aunt, The Hollow Crown, Pack of Lies, Tartuffe, Heartbreak House and Picnic. Patricia has been a member of Actors’ Equity since 1982.

For seven years Patricia also played the recurring role of Gail Wallace on The Young and the Restless.

A few films to mention: The voice of The Queen in the animated feature The Tale of Desperaux with Dustin Hoffman and The Spiderwick Chronicles.

Then, Candida George Bernard Shaw's story of a love triangle -- and a woman's choice between two men who love her.. Finally, the Los Angeles Premiere of a hilarious, sexy musical No Way to Treat a Lady.
