Dana Decker grew up in Minneapolis,
Minnesota and began playing the bass at the age of 15. He began his professional
career at age 17, playing in a wide variety of venues from jazz clubs to
amusement parks to musical theater. In 1999 he received a B.M. degree in
Jazz Composition from Berklee College of Music. Since moving to Los Angeles
in the summer of 1999, Dana has become an in demand session and live bass
player as well as a highly regarded instructor. Dana has been a very active
part of the theater community here in Southern California. He has worked
with various theater groups in productions of Honk, 70 Girls, 70,
and most recently, Sneaux.
