Tom Dugan
His film work includes Hellraiser IV, Leprechaun III, Stuart
Smalley Saves His Family, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, and The
Naked Gun. While on The Tracey Ullman Show he caught the attention of
Ivan Reitman who cast Tom in five of his films: Ghostbusters II,
Kindergarten Cop, Dave, Beethoven II, and Junior. Tom's TV credits
include The Practice, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Even Stevens Movie, Just Shoot Me, Chicago Hope, Party of Five, Lois and Clark, Santa Barbara, Alien Nation and
Friends. Tom has appeared at The Colony in The Voice of the Prairie, Climbing Everest, Dandelion Wine, The Man Who Came To Dinner, and Beautiful in the Extreme. His other theatre credits include Amadeus (ITL Award), Misery (opposite Susan Rattan), On Golden Pond (starring Jack Klugman), Dublin Carol (Ensemble Theatre), and Friends Like These (with Donna Mills). Tom is also an accomplished playwright whose critically acclaimed one-man shows include Oscar To Oscar, a comic salute to the Academy Awards; Robert E. Lee: Shades of Gray, which continues to tour across the country; and Frederick Douglass: In theS hadow of Slavery, starring Mel Johnson Jr. Tom looks forward to portraying one of the great heroes of the twentieth century in his newest solo drama, Nazi Hunter: Simon Wiesenthal, premiering at The Torrance Cultural Arts Center in February of 2009. Tom Dugan is originally from New Jersey. He studied Theatre at
Montclair University, where he was nominated for two Irene Ryan Awards.
He moved to Los Angeles in the early 1980's and first appeared on
television in the classic ZZ Top video “Legs.” Since then, Tom
has been lit on fire by Keanu Reeves, shot by Lou Diamond Phillips,
slimed by Dan Aykroyd, slapped by Steven Segal, snarled at by Arnold
Schwarzenegger, burglarized by Beethoven, and hit with a flying lobster
by Emma Thompson.
