Bjorn Johnson

Bjørn Johnson debuted on the Colony stage as Frank in Educating Rita.

He has recently completed filming an episode of Mad Men and the upcoming features Heartbreakers, The Hunger, and The Instrument and is about to continue shooting As Good As Dead with Brian Cox and Andie MacDowell. This year Bjørn appeared in Beerfest by themakers of Super Troopers and has a recurring role on Dexter. He has worked extensively onBroadway (Cyrano, Les Miserables, George White’s Scandals), Off-Broadway, and in regional theaters throughout the United States and Canada.

Other recent film and television work includes Pirates of the Caribbean II & III, The Pathfinder, Made of Honor, In An Instant (with BrianO’Byrne), Brave New World, How to Go Out on a Date in Queens, the cult favorite Salami Fight Club (MVPA award), The Sopranos (opposite Sir Ben Kingsley) and Law & Order

Favorite Los Angeles stage credits include Summertime (BostonCourt), Poets’ Garden, Sight Unseen, The Stand-In (LA Weekly Award), All My Sons, You Shall Give Me Grandsons (with Michael Learned), Imaginary Invalid, and Comings and Goings (Actors’ Gang). As a member of The Open Fist Theater, he has appeared in Seven Santas (directed by Darin Anthony), The Chekhov Machine (as Chekhov), The Cosmonaut’s Last Message ... (LA Weekly Award, Best Production), Macbeth, Criminal Genuises, and Threepenny Opera. Most recently with Open Fist he directed Arthur Miller’s After the Fall as well as Vaclav Havel's Audience and Birdbath

Bjørn also teaches acting at his own studios in Los Angeles and Berlin.
