Kathryn Kates is founding member
of The Colony, who has been seen most recently as Olive in The
Odd Couple (Female Version) and yet another Olive in Aftershocks.
She has produced and acted in many Colony productions including The
Martian Chronicles, A
Company of Wayward Saints,The
Grapes of Wrath, Getting
Out, The Lady's Not
for Burning, and The
White Liars, as well as the Bonus Production Women
of Manhattan.
Film credits include Jinxed!
where she worked with Bette Midler, and Beatrice with Carol Burnett.
She frequently works in television,
including in the bakery, selling Jerry and Elaine babka on Seinfeld.
She is the daughter of the great actress and former Colony member Madelyn
Cates (known to millions as "The Concierge" in the Mel Brooks classic The
Producers).
