He has designed over 300 productions on Broadway, Off- and around the country, including Sweeney Todd (Broadway: Drama Desk nomination); Anna Karenina (Theatre Wing Design nomination); No Way to Treat A Lady (Drama Desk nomination), The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me, and The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!). Numerous directing credits include Sylvia, Falsettoland, Oh, Coward!, As Bees in Honey Drown, and The Grass Harp, as well as such York premieres as the Australian musical Prodigal; Taking A Chance on Love, a celebration of lyricist John Latouche; Porterphiles: Unpublished Songs of Cole Porter; Clark Gesner's The Jello is Always Red, and most recently, LingoLand, featuring the work of wordsmith Kenward Elmslie.
