Michael A. Newcomer
Recent
Los Angeles credits include Christy Mahon in Playboy of the Western World and
Raskolnikov in Crime and Punishment,
both at A Noise Within; Morris in The
Heiress at South Coast Rep; and Raymond Shaw in The Manchurian Candidate with The
Production Company. Michael
spent two summers at the Old Globe Summer Shakespeare Festival
performing in MacBeth, Titus
Andronicus, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Comedy of Errors, Othello, and
A Winter’s Tale. Other
regional theatre work includes The
Devils, Flesh & Blood, Antigone, The Seagull, and Merchant of Venice
(Portland Center Stage); Romeo and
Juliet (Alliance Theatre); The
Glass Menagerie (Virginia Stage); The Importance of Being Earnest
(Dallas Theatre Center); Tallgrass
Gothic (Actor’s Theatre of Louisville Humana Festival); Wintertime (A Contemporary
Theatre); and Loot (Intiman Theatre); as well as
shows at Theatre in the Square, Actor’s Express, and Ford’s Theatre. Michael can be seen as Tibbs in the short film Burning Away, currently making the rounds on the festival circuit.
