
Carol Newell (aka Carole Lineback)
is a founding member of The Colony. She directed the Colony Mainstage production
Aftershocks, the Bonus Productions
of Postcards, Nice People Dancing To Good Country Music,
and Waiting For The Parade,
the Late Night production of an original piece by Lisa Gates (one of Carol's
favorite authors) entitled Pile O' Bones,
and the Second Stage production
of Eleemosynary by Lee
Blessing which won a Backstage West award for Ensemble Acting.
As an actor, Carol has appeared
in many of the company's productions over the years, including The
Crucible, The Sign
in Sidney Brustein's Window, Tarboosh!,
The
Grass Harp, Black
Comedy, The Martian
Chronicles, A Company
of Wayward Saints, The
Grapes of Wrath,
Looking
Glass, Scenes and

Mystery.
