Victoria Profitt


Victoria Profitt (Set Designer, Trying"Master Harold" ...and the boys) is a multi-award-winning theatre artist who since 1995 has designed over 130 sets on Los Angeles stages. She has worked at numerous venues including the Matrix, Tiffany, Skylight, Interact, Madrid, Luckman Fine Arts Complex, and Falcon Theatres, with noted directors as Gar Campbell (Pacific Resident Theatre), Andrew J. Robinson (Matrix Theatre Company), James Reynolds (Fremont Center Theatre), Allan Williams (Beverly Hills Playhouse) and Ron Sossi (Odyssey Theatre Ensemble).

Notable productions include the world premiere of Mark Kemble's Names at the Matrix Theatre, The Playwright's Arena premiere of Luis Alfaro's Straight as a Line, Indiscretions at Pacific Resident Theatre, I Capture the Castle at the El Portal Theatre, and also John O'Keefe's critically-acclaimed Times Like These, at the Odyssey Theatre.

Victoria's work has been recognized with awards from the LA Weekly, Backstage West, Drama-Logue, and Valley Theatre League ADA, as well as, nominations for Ovation and NAACP Theatre Image Awards. She is also recipient of the prestigious "Bob Z Award" for Lifetime Achievement, given by the Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle.

The Season kicks off with the tour-de-force one man show The Thousandth Night, joining Scheherazade with a concentration camp in a 1943 battle to live. Next, Trying a hopeful and humorous autobiographical tale of friendship amidst life's most inevitable adventure -- growing old. Then "Master Harold" ... and the boys the stunning masterpiece and one of the most powerful coming-of-age plays ever written. Next, the delightful romantic comedy, Almost Maine. The Season is capped-off by a humourous new American musical that will touch your heart, The Immigrant.
