John has written the scores for more than 40 films, including Napoleon Dynamite (Fox Searchlight), for which he was awarded a Golden Satellite Award for Best Original Score; Garden Party (Roadside Attractions); Employee of the Month (Lions Gate); The Great New Wonderful (First Independent); The Brothers Solomon (TriStar); Our Very Own (Miramax); Daltry Calhoun (Miramax); The Hammer (The Weinstein Co.); One Last Dance (Golden Village); The Education of Charlie Banks (Anchor Bay Entertainment); and the upcoming films Spread (Barbarian Films),starring Ashton Kutcher and Anne Heche; Dream of the Romans (iDeal Partners), starring Jeff Daniels and Lauren Graham; and Chilled in Miami (Lions Gate), starring Renee Zellweger, Harry Connick, Jr., and Nathan Fillion. He has also been the composer for several television series, including How I Met Your Mother (CBS), Greek (ABCFamily), Trick My Truck (CMT), Trick My Trucker (CMT), and Hope and Faith (ABC). He is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied music composition, production, and engineering. August, 2008
