John Zalewski 


John Zalewski was Sound Designer for such Colony productions as Almost, Maine, The Thousandth Night, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and June Moon.

John photographed the theatrical spectacles of Reza Abdoh in the early 90s. He has designed for Disney Hall-LAPhil, Center Theatre Group, East West Players, Evidence Room, Actors’ Gang, Geffen, The Fountain, Bottom’s Dream, New Madrid, Long Beach Opera, Skirball Festival, the Humana Festival, PS122, LaMama and chashama. Also, The Cherry Orchard at Evidence Room, Phantom of the Paradise at The Roxy, The Women of Lockerbie at Actors'Gang, The Adding Machine at Circus Theatricals, A New World War with Padua, and Bleed Rail at Boston Court. 

He is the recipient of design awards including the LA Weekly, BSW (Garlands and Local Hero) and Ovation.

The Season kicks off with the tour-de-force one man show The Thousandth Night, joining Scheherazade with a concentration camp in a 1943 battle to live. Next, Trying a hopeful and humorous autobiographical tale of friendship amidst life's most inevitable adventure -- growing old. Then "Master Harold" ... and the boys the stunning masterpiece and one of the most powerful coming-of-age plays ever written. Next, the delightful romantic comedy, Almost Maine. The Season is capped-off by a humourous new American musical that will touch your heart, The Immigrant.
