Submission Information
The Colony Theatre Company does not accept queries or scripts from
individual playwrights. We require that all submissions be through
agents or professional recommendations.
We are seeking:
Well-crafted, full-length plays and musicals of theatrical imagination
and emotional resonance which treat universal human themes. Tell us a
story, make us care, take us somewhere we've never been. We are not
interested in partisan screeds, political correctness, or fashionable
cynicism.
We really need:
Small-cast shows, for four or fewer actors, with simple sets and
minimal production requirements. This applies also to musicals. We will
consider plays that have been produced elsewhere, but not as yet in the
Los Angeles area.
Send queries containing a character breakdown including number and
gender of actors, technical requirements including a description of the
set, a complete synopsis, and the first 10 pages of the script in
professional format to:
