Cynthia Beckert appeared in two "grand" productions on the Colony Stage: as the ballerina Grushinskaya in Grand Hotel, the Musical. and as Madame Bouffier and Yvonne in The Grand Tour.

She has played Bassanio in The Los Angeles Women’s Shakespeare Company’s critically acclaimed, all-female production of The Merchant of Venice and other regional credits include Maria in Twelfth Night and Ermengarde in The Matchmaker with A Noise Within, Lady Macbeth with The Pasadena Shakespeare Company and Brooklyn Stage Company, Hippolyte in Moliere’s The Bungler with West Coast Ensemble, Antonio in The Tempest with the Los Angeles Women’s Shakespeare Company, Mona Kent in Dames at Sea with The Civic Theatre of Central Florida, The Princess of France in Love’s Labour’s Lost with The Georgia Shakespeare Festival, Camelot, Oliver! and Androcles & The Lion with The Alabama Shakespeare Festival, and Follies, West Side Story, and Robin Hood with Seaside Music Theatre. 

Television credits include Malcolm in the Middle, She Spies, and Strong Medicine. 

Cynthia holds an MFA in Acting from UC Irvine, an MA in Theatre from Florida State, and a BA in Music from The University of the South, Sewanee.
