Jared A. Sayeg

Jared A. Sayeg (Lighting Designer, Educating Rita, Trying [Ovation Nomination]) resides in Los Angeles and New York where he illuminates plays, opera, musicals, ballet, theme parks, and architectural installations around the US as well as in Scotland, London, Spain Las Vegas, Broadway and Off-Broadway. 

Recent projects include The Who’s Tommy (Ricardo Montalban Theatre), Rolling with Laughter (LA and London West-End), Park Your Car In Harvard Yard (International CityTheatre), Mid-Life the Crisis Musical, I Capture the Castle, and Eric Idle’s RutleMania (LA and NY). On Broadway Jared designed Bravo Bernstein! (Hudson Theatre) and Gotham Glory at Carnegie Hall. He was also part of the design team for the Broadway transfer of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Woman in White (Marquis Theatre) as well as PRIMO (Music Box Theatre) and the 2003 Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. Off-Broadway projects include Humble Boy, FAME, Nobody Don’t Like Yogi, and Ministry of Progress.

Jared designed the 30th anniversary tour of A Chorus Line and the musical Shag with a Twist at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. Off-Broadway he was part of the design team for Humble Boy, FAME, Nobody Don't Like Yogi with Ben Gazzara, and Ministry of Progress. Other productions include Mid-Life the Crisis Musical (Candelight Pavilion), Sandra Tsing Loh's Sugar Plum Fairy (Luckman Intimate Theatre), and I Capture the Castle (El Portal Forum). 

Other design affiliations include Theatrical Arts International, Fremont Centre Theatre, The Hudson, Laguna Playhouse, The Alex Theatre, Luckman Fine Arts Complex, Full Circle Opera, Music Theater of Southern California, Disney, Ballet Pacifica, Inland Pacific Ballet, Le Studio Dance, and State Street Ballet. For three seasons Jared was in residence with the LA Opera at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion where he was part of numerous productions including Julie Taymor's The Flying Dutchman. 

Other projects include Champions on Ice, Festival of the Lion King in Orlando, and currently the NBA Basketball Hall of Fame Traveling Exhibit. Jared was also part of creating the new court lighting for the LA Lakers at the Staples Center and his design for Whales, A Journey with Giants can also be seen regularly at the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific.
