Robert J. Townsend

Robert J. Townsend first appeared at the Colony as The Baron in Grand Hotel, the Musical. Previously he spent the several months in San Diego at the Starlight Theater in their critically acclaimed productions of Triumph of Love as Agis, Damn Yankees as Joe Hardy, and Anthony in Sweeney Todd.

Robert also appeared as the soloist in the 2004 Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach. He has toured throughout the United States and Europe in numerous productions and roles in Grease, as well as throughout South America as a singer with Ray Conniff and his Orchestra. Some of Robert's regional roles include Sir Percival Blakeney in The Scarlet Pimpernel, Billy Crocker in Anything Goes, Man #1 in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, Sparky in Forever Plaid, Freddy in My Fair Lady, Nick O'Brien in Sheer Madness, and Curly in Oklahoma!. 

Television credits include The Chronicle and The One-Minute Soap Opera series, as well as numerous commercials.
